Hi,
I have filed my affidavit as a national recently and have also filed an ROE in the past. I am looking at a potential job opportunity which may require standard employment forms (W-4) to be filled out. I was planning on the possibility of filing exempt to avoid federal income tax withholding and just dealing with the social security withholding at some point perhaps by filing a 1040NR to get amounts erroneously withheld refunded. I am going to be responsible for whatever I decide, but wanted to see if there is anyone who is a national that has any experience or input in this area....Thanks!

To my employer, I first submitted an updated I-9 with my eligibility confirmation from eVerify. Then I submitted the W-4V along with my W8BEN. I didn't get any push back from them and they stopped withholding federal income taxes from my pay.

Ok thanks that helps. As I will be starting this job soon, I suppose I can just submit the W-4V, I-9 & W8-BEN as initial submissions from the get go.
