RoE Timeline

Is it possible to send the IRS your affidavit and RoE at the same time? Since you are simply putting these things in their records.

Or is it important to wait and send the affidavit first, then get the passport, and then send the RoE?

It probably wouldn't be a problem to send in the ROE at the same time you notice the IRS with a copy of the affidavit and it's cover letter.

Don't get the steps mixed up.  The passport is one of the primary steps...1) Affidavit to the U.S. Sec of State 2) The Notices 3) The Passport.

There is a waiting period after submitting the affidavit to the U.S. Sec of State to give them time to rebut it prior to start noticing the various agencies, including the IRS.

The IRS steps are generally done after you've completed the primary steps but are first addressed in The Notices step by noticing the IRS with a copy of the affidavit.

Review the Remedy section closely and follow the steps in order as indicated.  These steps worked for us and the forms used are the ones we used that worked for us.

Don't forget that you can use the Form Builder available in the various sections of the Remedy area.  The forms will be created, formatted and emailed to you.  You initially don't even need to add any personal information if you don't want to before the form is emailed to you as you'll be able to edit after you receive it if you'd like.

Here's a link to the Freedom Checklist which will help guide you.

Keep up the good work.

All right, I might give it a shot for efficiency's sake.

I'm familiar with the Remedy section but this is the first I'm seeing of the Checklist.

It must not be in a very obvious spot. Thanks for sharing it.
