This is the story of Marlena Pavlos-Hackney, a Polish immigrant and restaurateur who defied Michigan’s lockdown orders by keeping her restaurant open. Despite facing legal consequences, including jail time, Marlena stood her ground and became a symbol of resistance against government overreach.
