How to write your name on the IRS forms.

There is no reason to write or sign your name in any manner other than the way you have customarily done so.

Avoid being distracted by common myths. The IRS does not place any significance on stylistic variations in your signature, such as adding colons or altering capitalization. In fact, such changes are more likely to cause confusion than provide any benefit.

We didn't do anything different with the way we write our names and everything went through just fine.
