28 U.S. Code § 3002

Title 28 USC, which is Judiciary and Judicial Procedure, defines the United States not as our nation, but as a Federal Corporation including anything under that corporation. Since it’s under this title anything involving the courts or judiciary defines the United States as the Federal Government and it’s subcorporations. Since 1933, the term “United States Government” evolved to just being the “United States”.

US Code Definition
(15)“United States” means—
(A)a Federal corporation;
(B)an agency, department, commission, board, or other entity of the United States; or
(C)an instrumentality of the United States
