From the home page, the “Let’s Get Started” button at the top will guide you to information that will give you a good basic understanding of national status.

Then move on to “The Learning Center.” This is a central location for the Academy, the Library, Articles, and Downloads.

Taking the free courses in the Academy will help you to quickly gain the knowledge you will need to defend the national status.

Once you are comfortable with the information and the knowledge you have gained, visit the Affidavit page under The Remedy section. This will help you to write your affidavit and has complete instructions on how to notarize and mail it.

We also have Document Builders that will assist you with preparing your documents.

I'm wondering about how to sign/autograph the affidavit? What's the proper format?             example:1- By: Last, Middle First                                                                                                                                                                                                                              example:2- First Last                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  example:3- First Middle Last

I'm assuming there's no need to sign/autograph with a condition. E.g.- without prejudice                                                                                                                        Also what color ink should I use? I know that different color signifies different things, E.g. Red=Living Flesh and Blood Man/Woman.                                           I dated the affidavit in the document builder for Today June 2nd. So, I'm trying to have this notarized and sent to SOS Today.

You should sign the document in the same way you have always signed legal documents. As for the ink color, it's generally recommended to use black or blue ink for legal documents to ensure clarity and permanence.

I took notice of the latest version of the affidavit in regards to the "Jurat" section for the notary.  Is there a reason why it's so "bare-bones' and not technically in the correct Jurat Format?   Example below:  ** I also noted "and" is missing  "Sworn to and subscribed before me, on this day....." **

After doing some additional research on the version quoted above from this website, I found that it’s a general form that should be accepted in all 50 states.

I’d also like to point out something important from my research on notary jurats: many people might not realize this detail and could end up leaving it out, so I’d like to suggest we make note of it.  (State of and County of are missing in the "Sample Affidavit of Citizenship Evidence"

I am aware that  "These sample documents are for educational purposes only. Use them as a guide, or write your own. We do not offer legal advice. " That's on the website.

People might gloss over this, and if they don't have the knowledge, they might make a mistake that would affect them later. Ultimately, people will have to do their own studies and come up with their own conclusions.

What’s the same across all 50 states

Every U.S. jurisdiction that regulates notaries requires the core elements in a jurat:

  • A missing venue can cause the document to be invalid for recording (like in property filings).

  • In court, an affidavit without a proper jurat may be struck down because it lacks proof of proper notarization.

  • The notary could be subject to disciplinary action for failing to complete the certificate correctly.

    Where differences come in

    • Some states (like California, Florida, Texas) have statutory jurat forms with extra phrases. If you’re notarizing in those states, you must use (or at least substantially track) the exact required wording.

    • Some jurisdictions allow minor variations, but they still need the same essentials listed above.

    • If you’re using a document across state lines, the short universal form is the safest, because it won’t get rejected for “overly unusual language.”
