Constitution of the United States of America

Section. 1.

All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

Section 8

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

...

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of Government of the United States...

This was carried on and expanded by our Constitution. Congress, and by extension the United States (Federal Government), only has direct jurisdiction over 10 square miles. Any additional jurisdiction must be expressly granted by the States, and must be uniform. Any examples of this limitation?
