Permission
A license to do a thing; an authority to do an act which, without such authority, would have been unlawful.
To exercise your rights as a “U.S. Citizen”, you need a license. To have a license is to have permission to do what is illegal/unlawful by default.
A good test to know if you truly have the right to do something, find out if you need a license in order to do it. Examples include:
CPL or Gun Carry Permit: You don’t have the right to have a gun on your
person
- Hunting Licenses: You don’t have the right to hunt game, even on your own property
- Business Licenses: You don’t have the right to operate your specific type of business
- Drivers Licenses: You don’t have the right to travel
- CPL or Gun Carry Permit: You don’t have the right to have a gun on your person
